Sequence of hand disinfection

.......................

The optimal sequence This serves to prioritize "hotspots" to maximize the safety of hand disinfection. It is recommended to first rub the fresh disinfectant into the areas where the Germ density The highest concentration is reached when sufficient liquid is needed to penetrate deep into areas that are difficult to disinfect. This sequence serves as a strategy for achieving optimal germ reduction:

  1. Fingertips, nail folds and thumbs first: The fingertips and thumbtips of both hands are dipped directly into the palm filled with disinfectant and rubbed in a circular motion. Since this is where most germs reside, this method ensures optimal contact time and even distribution of the disinfectant.
  2. palms, back of hands, fingers and spaces between them: In the second step, these are thoroughly and extensively moistened.
  3. Don't forget your wrists: Finally, the disinfection is extended to the wrists.

Important: If hands become dry before the manufacturer's specified contact time (usually 30 seconds) has elapsed, disinfectant must be reapplied immediately. Only complete coverage and the full contact time guarantee full effectiveness.
