The DesiCoach® method
An essential component of the package is practical training in hand disinfection with DesiCoach®. Through visual feedback, everyone develops an individual technique for effective hand disinfection.
Here's how:
Dyeing: The DesiCoach dye magically colors the hands after rubbing. After about a minute, the disinfection can be evaluated: the color intensity shows whether the dosage was sufficient. Uncolored areas of skin show wetting gaps that can be repaired in the next step.
Decolorization: The DesiCoach decolorizer removes color immediately. Every movement is immediately visible. You learn how to reach all areas before the disinfectant evaporates. Any color residue (for example on the fingertips) shows where there are still problem areas that need to be addressed.
Repeat: If necessary, the training can be repeated immediately. Finally, any color residue can be removed with the color remover or washed off with water.
Learning objectives:
The DesiCoach® method combines the three most important learning objectives in one product for the first time:
- The individual dosage amount
→ The right amount for your hand size - The correct rubbing technique
→ The most effective techniques for complete wetting - The correct order when applying
→ Your routine for fixing vulnerabilities
You can find further information on the individual learning objectives in the article The 3 most important learning objectives in our magazine.

The quality promise of DesiCoach®
We do not use artificial colorings out of conviction. That is why the coloring in DesiCoach® comes 100% from plant extracts. The coloring obtained in this way is used in, for example, blackberries, Hiberries and Cherryen In order to achieve comparable properties to your everyday disinfectant, DesiCoach® is based on similar ingredients: alcohol, water and refatting agents.
Of course, the safe usability and skin compatibility of DesiCoach® has been tested and confirmed by several independent institutes.
- free from allergens
- 100% natural dyes

Frequently asked questions
Everything else you might want to know.

- The dosing quantity was not correct or too much liquid was dripped. Measure the reaction time with a stopwatch for clarification. If this is less than 30 seconds, the problem is an application error that can now be rectified.
- DesiCoach® is not compatible with some creams that have extremely strong pH buffers. Ask the person concerned to wash their hands and try again.
- The minimum shelf life has expired or DesiCoach® has been stored incorrectly. If you do not intend to use DesiCoach® for a longer period of time, you should store the training in the refrigerator to significantly extend its shelf life
The improvement with the white dye instead of the pink was very positive. Rubbing-in errors were easily visible on every skin tone. Of course, the dye must be shaken well.
Unfortunately, the amount is different than with a dispenser bottle. Participants—especially those with small hands—automatically had enough liquid, as they often used the entire sachet. If a lot of dye is used, there are hardly any gaps.
Our wish would be to have DesiCoach in pump dispenser bottles, so that dispensing with a single stroke corresponds to the usual daily routine. Perhaps you can find a solution? Shaking before each use is probably difficult to implement, but every 15 to 30 minutes would be realistic for training courses or training days.
I'll keep my fingers crossed as I tinker with it! Overall, a great product.
Thank you for your valuable feedback! We're very pleased that the rubbing errors are now clearly visible on all skin tones.
We welcome your comments on the dosage of the bags or StickPacks. The StickPacks actually offer important educational benefits: They encourage participants to consciously consider the required amount – unlike dispensers, which often automatically pump multiple times.
Of course, if you have smaller hands, you don't need to use the entire contents. The goal of training with the StickPacks is therefore to develop a feel for the correct dosage in your palm – regardless of the dispenser system used.
We will be happy to address the topic raised and wish you continued enjoyment in your training!
Hello dear Heyfair team,
This year we had a new team at our stand.
Since we want to share different insights into hand hygiene every year,
I got support from the 2nd year of training.
This not only gave me support from the trainees, but also gave them the opportunity to better understand the topic of hand hygiene.
What was most important to me as a hygiene specialist, what do I want to convey to the trainees?
What communication options are there?
Which target groups can we address?
How can I interact and bring the weighting closer to my counterpart?
How confident am I in dealing with this topic?
What illustrative possibilities are available?
We had the following options available for our stand:
Black light lamps with fluorescent hand disinfection
Gloves, with fluorescent skin lotion and black light
Training with DesiCoach
Contact plates of hands, table, cupboard, worktops, Na/Ra smears
Fluorescent felt-tip pens with integrated black light
Surface disinfection
Skin protection
Posters with the 5 moments of hand disinfection
Cards with rubbing techniques
30 sec “hourglass”
How did the day go?
In preparation, I showed the trainees everything we have, why and when I can use it.
I pointed out to the two girls the different target groups, such as:
Medical nursing staff
Medical staff from assistant physician to chief physician
MFAs, KPHs
Visitors (mother, child, relatives, friends)
Patients
Everyone sees hand disinfection from a different perspective.
The patient not only sees his own protection, but also how the doctors and nurses disinfect their hands.
Doctors can be informed along the way about how patients perceive it.
Of course, my two girls were excited and had to find the courage to talk to passersby (I helped them at the beginning J)
When they spoke to patients, they explained how staff should behave with hand hygiene and what the patient can do to protect themselves.
In addition, we showed the contact plates to explain to the patient that pathogens can be found on any surface.
The medical staff focused on the exposure time; during the conversation they turned the hourglass over to give a feeling for the 30 seconds.
The girls left it up to each passerby to choose which method they wanted to use to make the hand disinfection visible.
Surprisingly, the staff wanted to check hand hygiene exclusively with the Disicoach, especially since they had the opportunity to check themselves twice during training.
The test kits were also gladly accepted.
My personal highlight was the children’s eyes:
The mothers weren't really keen on getting involved. But as a mother and grandmother, I know how to get the kids excited.
The “invisible” writing with the felt-tip pens and the light was very interesting for the children.
What words did we use to explain it to the children?
“You can see dirt, you can quickly wipe it off on your pants.
But what else could be on my hands?
Things that can sometimes make you sick.
Everyone knows stomach aches and diarrhea, how can you prevent this as a child???
And the right answer always came: washing hands J
As a reward, there was also a pen.
My trainees did a great job.
School knowledge combined with my hygiene knowledge, brought to the man, woman or child.
After all, the trainees are supposed to become my employees, the ones I can rely on!
Beautiful good day,
Our action day is not until June.
However, I've already tried out your training tool, and I'm impressed. The PowerPoint presentation is partially interactive, and my colleagues were able to practice the rub-in method very well.
The colleagues sat together and colored their hands. The color is always a hit, and it's a lot of fun. It's also great that it no longer needs to be stored in the refrigerator.
The theoretical information with the coloring of the hands and the small cards for repeating the theory is a well-rounded thing.
Thank you!
Good morning dear Heyfair team,
Our action day was amazing! Thanks to Heyfair's new formula, our participating people of color were now able to clearly see where they still had wetting gaps.
With the old recipe (red coloring) it was sometimes a bit frustrating because the red coloring was not easy to see.
Thanks to Heyfair, the hand hygiene training was a complete success for everyone!
THANK YOU!!! You're doing a really great job!!!
We used DesiCoach for our new employee orientation day, and it was a huge success. Our booth was always crowded, and the employees enjoyed checking their hand sanitization and identifying gaps. The new white color works even better than the previous red version. A great product that we will be using more often for training.
I had the opportunity to test the optimized version last week—and what can I say? It's great, I'm thrilled!
The coloring and visibility are significantly better than the predecessor.
The individual portion bags were also particularly beneficial during the training. This allowed employees to disinfect their hands simultaneously without long waiting times—a real plus.
Another big advantage is that I no longer have to refrigerate the product.
In the future, I will only use the optimized version for my hand disinfection training courses.
A really great product - keep it up!
